Early in my career, I knew that having a project intake and management process was essential to managing the neverending backlog of requests. But I quickly learned that it wasn’t enough to create true scalability. I was still building what were expected to be perfect solutions, only to have to redo them soon after. And in fast-paced environments with lean teams, the reality is there is no redo time. There’s only time to move forward. 

The more I spoke to my users, the more I realized that we were building solutions on top of broken processes. To break the cycle, I expanded my approach, guiding stakeholders to share beyond surface-level requirements to uncover hidden gaps before they became roadblocks. This shift changed everything. Suddenly, we weren’t just fixing problems—we were preventing them.
